Pilgrims speak out about the reality of the House of Prayer.

Niall Coleman

“I travel to the House of Prayer each Saturday, and I enjoy my day there and look forward to it all week, for me, the House of Prayer has focused me on my Catholic faith. Since first attending the House of Prayer I have found going to Mass in my parish church such a joy. I suppose the message of the House of Prayer lives all week in my heart that is that Jesus out of love died for each of us and we should make time in our lives for God”

Josie Butler

“I have been a coach leader for many years, each week upwards of thirty people come from our locality and travel with us to the House of Prayer in Achill. It is a joy to bring people together in prayer. The people who travel with us are from all walks of life; some of the them are members of the Marian Movement of Priests and other local groups within our parish.”

Margaret Murray

“I am a supporter of Our Lady Queen of Peace, House of Prayer, I have received so much from Our Lady through this Mission and I am very grateful to God for it all. As somebody who is very involved in my local parish, I find the time out at the House of Prayer affords me the opportunity to spend time with Our Lady. Life for me is very busy when organising pilgrimages to shrines all over the world, serving the community through my commitment to my parish church and it is the highlight of my week to go to the Novena prayers at the House of Prayer”

Fiona Caherty

As a young adult I thank God for the gift of the House of Prayer, I found after attending the prayers in the House of Prayer, I have come know the reality of God in the Catholic faith. I love the youth days in particular to see the chapel full of people my own age sharing their experiences of healing from drug addiction to conversion to receiving the gift of ordination which they attribute to Our Lady Queen of Peace, House of Prayer.

Olive and Martin Curran

We are a young married couple with two children and we often go to Our Lady’s House in Achill. The House of Prayer for our family is very important; we have received so many blessings and graces. As a family we pray together and feel that it is such a gift for our children to meet other children who pray and know about their faith.
