Christina’s Obedience

Christina’s constant obedience to the Church

Throughout the history of Our Lady Queen of Peace House of Prayer, Mrs Christina Gallagher has always obeyed and complied with any directive received from diocesan authority. For instance, in an official declaration on January 21 1999, she stated; “… Our faith is not based on visions or apparitions. It is based on God’s revelation to us in Jesus Christ; on the fact that He is the Son of Man and is risen from the dead. Our faith is based on the word of God as revealed to us in Scripture and the tradition of the Church. It is based on the role of the Church as guardian of the faith, on the teaching authority given by Christ to His Church.” She made this sworn statement, not because required to do so, but in response to an attempt to misrepresent her work and defame her.
Mrs Gallagher has always urged loyalty to the Church and prayer for the clergy. The Archbishop of Tuam explicitly acknowledged in his public statement of 1998 the orthodoxy of The House of Prayer. On the same occasion, he affirmed its fruitfulness and stated that Mrs Gallagher and her associates enjoyed the right not only to believe in the supernatural phenomena but always to state their belief to others, (as indeed Church law permits,) in such circumstances. This is in keeping with Vatican II's Decree on the Lay Apostolate, which even obliges priests to foster the special charisms of lay people.
In September 2000, the Archdiocesan office, in response to a query from the Irish Family newspaper stated; “no declaration of any kind has ever been made by an ecclesiastical authority in this Archdiocese which might indicate that Mrs Gallagher’s standing as a Catholic is anything other than good.”
“Ecclesiastical authorities… have never at any time discouraged people from visiting Mrs Gallagher in Achill and learning more about her work”.
The message of Our Lady is that of the Gospel, the essence of Our Lady’s Call is the central message of the Gospel; namely, conversion of heart. It urges us to return to confession. As any proper analysis would reveal, the messages through Christina are rooted in Scripture and leading to the Sacraments. Our Lady can never bypass Her Son. Her messages speak of the graces She obtains from God to lead Her children to repentance.
This is best seen in Our Blessed Mother’s Call to those wishing to join her Fraternity.

The Fraternity Rules

“I desire to draw many of you, My children in to my Confraternity. The Rules for your commitment to be children of My Fraternity are these”;

* Live by the laws of God and His Commandments.
* Those of you, who are Catholic, receive the Sacraments of God.
* Pray My Rosary daily, Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.
* Recognise sin, and beg God for forgiveness for yourself and for others.
* Love God and your neighbours.
* Renounce Satan and all his works.
* Turn your life on to the road of Light, and journey through life in the light of My Son Jesus, through truth being lived in you.
* Live in the knowledge of God.
* Love Him with your whole heart and life
* Be witness to the truth, for God is Truth.
* Always be aware of God’s Mercy and desire it for yourself and for all of my children, through prayer.
* Be aware that God’s justice is at hand.

In fact, the message of Our Lady through Christina, studied comprehensively, perfectly fulfils what is stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, par 67; “throughout the ages, there have been so called ‘private’ revelations … . It is not their role to improve or complete Christ’s definitive Revelation, but to help live more fully by it in a certain period of history”.
