Behind the Media Vendetta

The tactics used by the initiator of the campaign- began by referring to photographs taken without permission of the homes of all members of Christina Gallagher’s family. To this were added accusations of misuse of funds and raising questions regarding the property purchases and ownership.
He began to personally seek out disaffected or disappointed former pilgrims/helpers etc..

Then efforts began to find some entity willing to publish the grievances and accusations being raised. It is a known fact that his efforts in this regard were fruitless despite his growing desperation, to the point where he is on record as having stated that members of his group of ten to eleven persons were willing to lie on oath such was their animosity towards for the entity and persons they had targeted for destruction.
Finally his last resort “Sunday World” a newspaper which he had labelled as a “newspaper of ill repute, not requiring proof of facts nor evidence”, this newspaper became his prime media instrument championed by Jim Gallagher’s articles created as “expose’s” which in reality were only composed of lies, distortion, deception and half truths, In specific areas of this website we will deal with our analysis and response to same.

In the group which formed around this vendetta, individuals masquerading as experts were given wide publicity but, most identities of detractors were hidden or used pseudonyms and including the frequent use of commentary by unknown, unnamed priests etc. No individual or ‘so called experts’ who participated in presenting a negative image of a Christina Gallagher’s work made any effort to carry out a fair and balanced investigation before going public.

Sadly, in recent months a small number of former visitors and helpers have begun their own private campaign of negativity in their own home areas and also at weekends in seeking to intercept coaches at the churches where a stop is traditionally made in order to attend Mass.

Their method seems to be initially to make contact with an individual pilgrim but then to quickly move on the conversation to the type of accusations and lies in the latest edition of the tabloid press. Sadly, some of these individuals are seeking to have a foot in both camps and often attend the House of Prayer to try and further their destructive activity.

We think it is only fair and appropriate to highlight the situation.
